imageA relatively quiet week ahead as we roll toward the transition in Bergen County government.

Here are a few things to watch:

1. On Tuesday at 7 p.m., the West Bergen Tea Party will have Gayle Kesselman of Citizens for Immigration Control as their feature speaker. The meeting takes place at the Larkin House, 380 Godwin Ave. in Wyckoff.

2. The Bergen County Freeholders have a work session scheduled at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on the fifth floor of the County Administration building at One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack. The board will hear from its health insurance consultant on employee benefits.

3. The Bergen County NAACP will host a “community and police prayer vigil” at 7 p.m. Wednesday on the steps of the Bergen County Courthouse in Hackensack. The event bills it’s goal as “strengthen trust, increase public safety.”

4. Bergen Grassroots will host a discussion of transparency in municipal government at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ethical Culture Society, 687 Larch Avenue, Teaneck.
